I was stupid and forgot to change the white balance for these pictures in Manora and the only way I could salvage them was to convert them to black and white. Also, most of them are a bit blurry because it was really dark in there and my camera can only go up to ISO 1600. Boo.

I went to Disneyland (and other places in and around Los Angeles) during winter break. I didn't take any pictures in Disneyland, even though I'd been telling myself for three years ever since my last time there to bring my camera the next time I went, because my mom wanted to use my camera and I had given my point-and-shoot to my cousin to use. I know I could have used my iPhone, but...eh. There was a crazy amount of people there; it wasn't as enjoyable as I was hoping. The next time I go I'll make sure not to go during a holiday...

These photos are from around SF when my relatives from Hong Kong and Canada came over. I played tourist for the day, except I didn't take a lot of pictures.

One of the best Christmases and sleepovers I've had since...well, I think ever. I hope I will always remember these past two days. Recap in bullet points:

Winter break has officially started! Had a carefree day eating and wandering around with friends; near the end of the day, the three of us (who went to the same middle school) ended up at Aptos Park. We reminisced about the few good times in middle school and I swung on the swings gazing at the pretty sunset while a few of the houses around us twinkled with their Christmas lights and decorations in the growing darkness.

I seem to take more pictures on my phone now that I started using Instagram again/more often.

What am I even doing my notes are lying right next to me and yet this is how I choose to spend my studying time. I need to shower but my sister is in there and this is what I am doing to wait for her to finish instead of studying.

The window open is a TextEdit file of the main points I compiled from the Sparknotes Plot Overview of Ceremony, which is a book I didn't enjoy reading very much. I don't know why I'm spending so much time studying for English when I should be studying the most for AP Biology...

I've noticed that whenever I'm studying for finals I always do absolutely everything except study which includes updating this stupid thing for the first time in weeks with an unimpressive iPhone snapshot of my cluttered room in black and white. The next time I post something (exciting, at least) will probably be at the end of this month because I am going on vacation during winter break! Yay!

I'm seriously considering changing my URL to something else because the stuff I post cannot even be considered photography more like snapshots and I know what good photographs look like and I don't take them so I always feel guilty whenever I see my URL like how dare I besmirch the word photography with the stuff I have on here I like the word besmirch don't you okay anyway.

I don't know; I just had to say this. I rarely use this thing anymore (not that I used it often before). I usually use this to dump all the photos I take...just to put them somewhere.

Also, it's really fun writing run-on sentences on purpose like right now oh god this is a really bad habit of mine you know this is literally the way my mind "talks" no wonder I have speech issues and I'm unleashing it onto whoever bothers to read this I'm sorry don't feel bad if you don't understand anything I'm not writing anything substantial anyway.

Instant Chinese soybean paste noodles (Korean: Jajangmyun), leftover black pepper chicken wings from supermarket in Millbrae and some sort of squash/melon with Chinese rice noodles (fun see).

I finished making it, brought it to my room, and was about to dig in when I saw my camera strap hanging down from my slide-out keyboard drawer thing. With immense will power almost equal to that of getting out of bed on a school day, I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures.

Kindchia introduced me to the Korean drama Couple or Trouble about two months ago when she came over to my house. While I still haven't finished watching it (don't look at me like that, Kindchia), I've watched enough to know that the main girl loves jajangmyun, or soybean paste noodles. I've wanted to eat some for the longest time, and a few weeks ago my mom bought a pack of instant ones! She claims it's "just okay" and that she's eaten better (whatever, mom), but I think this stuff has been the best thing to happen to me in a while. It's SO good, I love squeezing the sauce packet clean and mixing the delicious dark stuff into the clean, white ramen.

Wow; we haven't done this in a while. We hung out a few times before, but this time I brought my camera, and for some reason this made the possibilities endless. After eating ramen, we headed up to Fisherman's Wharf. I loved the weather today. Chilly, raining: perfect for bundling up :). I don't know why, but whenever it's cold and raining I feel more energetic. I lurve winter.

Uninspired

Seems like I dropped off the face of the earth these past 2 months. First, it was summer laziness, and then junior year happened. I don't really have any time for anything. My days now consist of dreading homework and the next day, and my weekends are spent lazing around at home, determined to relax and not do anything productive. I should at least take pictures on my phone, but...my walk home isn't really anything special. I only took the above picture because I hadn't seen clouds that fluffy in a while. And also, today's weather is a bit crazy, even for SF. Gray, cloudy, showers and then almost as fast as it happens, it stops, the clouds retreat and it's sunny and warm.

Lately I've been wanting to start drawing again. Drawing has always been an on-and-off thing for me ever since kindergarten. I actually drew a lot from K-3, then I realized how bad I was and I got frustrated and stopped. Then, a few months or years later I try again, get put off by how bad I am, and stop. Now I regret it; I actually really like drawing, it's just I have no patience for practicing, which is why I'm still so bad now. Since my sister is an illustrator-type person, she's been drawing all her/my life, I don't think my drawings are really that bad; at least, according to her, my bodies are pretty much anatomically correct. My Media Arts class requires a bit of drawing, so I guess that's what re-inspired me to start drawing again. I'm kind of wondering whether I should have taken Animation, since that class is more drawing-heavy, but I don't really care either way.

Now my US History notes are filled with floating eyes. I should to start drawing/doodling other stuff.

In my sister's room, which has a window, unlike my room. Lazy Saturday afternoon. I have no school on Monday, which means a 3 day weekend, a welcome break from all the STAR tests this week. Yay :)

My pushing dawn series kind of... died. I was supposed to take and post a picture every week, but obviously that hasn't been happening. Oops. Well, I don't really care about the rules for that one anymore :P. I'll just post one whenever I take one.

I took a few pictures today, though, so expect them for the next week or so :)

Green Apple Books

These are all the bookstore pictures from last week when I went out with my friends. We walked into Green Apple Books and I fell in love instantly. The place was like a treehouse filled with books. It wasn't big, it was really cozy, there were so many twists and turns you could get lost in, little nooks and crannies, and the wooden floors creaked every time you took a step. Those big bookstores like Borders or Barnes and Noble are nothing compared to this, and besides, they're overpriced anyway.

I love this place. Only bad thing is that I get really uncomfortable buying books. I'm probably just weird, but making a decision to purchase a book is almost akin to donating an organ. I treat it like a big life decision, and I really don't know why. I don't usually read a book more than once. I've used the public library as my primary source of books ever since I could read. And I don't get an allowance.

So, it sort of makes a little more sense why I don't buy books. While there are a few occasional downsides to library books (pages falling apart, food crumbs trapped in the creases, small BUGS squished on pages), I think I can live with them. Besides, it's free :).

I love the Series of Unfortunate Events. Very quirky, interesting, depressing, adventurous, sad, happy, fun, etc. I should read the books again. I think I finished the last book in 5th or 6th grade.

I love how they have all these handwritten signs posted up everywhere. It's very personal and fun :).

I haven't read much of the Pendragon books, I think I stopped at the 5th or 6th book, but I like them. Good page-turners, when I feel like reading adventure-y, younger stuff :P

I think I would actually live in this little corner, if I could. I love, love, love Harry Potter. I'm not crazy/obsessed, but I really do love the books. If you've only seen the movies and based your opinions on those alone, shame on you ;P. I read the first book when I was in the third grade. I had a really bad obsession with it in the 4th grade, where I would spend my days on the playground (alone) daydreaming scenes from the books, haha. So glad I had no sense of self-consciousness back then. I stopped halfway through the Deathly Hallows in the 7th grade, then reread the entire series in one week during the summer of 8th grade. I don't know why I stopped, though, but I probably got a little bored (I remember I stopped right in the middle of their super long camping phase.) Fell in love again after rereading the series :). I cried at the end. The epilogue was cheesy, but sweet.

I remember taping the Chamber of Secrets movie when I was in the 4th grade and watching it every. single. day. I'm not kidding when I say everyday. If I skipped a day, I would watch it twice the next. Haha, I have no idea what was wrong with me.

This is me without my glasses on. I am in the bathroom. This picture is about 3 months old. This will probably be the only decent picture of me for the rest of the year. I am listening to Big Bang right now (thanks, Kindchia! ;P). Spring break is about to end and predictably, I left all my homework until last minute.

Let's see what's been on my mind this past week and months. I have a group project that I really don't want to do and I'm stressed about summer extracurricular activities and my mom's lecturing me about college all the time now and I really don't want to do my math homework packet and I just remembered I have biology homework too and I'm constantly thinking about what I really want to do in my life in the future and what major I should choose in college and I really don't know because I'm really not good at anything and I'm not motivated and high school is almost halfway over and I really can't procrastinate on these things anymore and now I really wish I'm not thinking about all these future-related things I should be thinking about so I think I'll think about starting my homework but I really don't feel like doing it but I must!

Title pretty much sums up yesterday. What else is new? :P We went to eat at King of Thai Noodle on Clement, then wandered into the Green Apple Bookstore for a while. We then went to Genki Crepes and then took the bus to Irving to get milk tea. Is it sad how we always plan this out? Haha. This is the cover of Marcelo in the Real World. It was a pretty good book. I picked it up mostly because it had an interesting cover. I didn't take any new pictures last night (oops). I spent it finishing The Kite Runner. I love it! One of the best books I've read in a while. It made me cry. A lot. The only other book that made me cry that much was My Sister's Keeper, and I almost wanted to murder the author for its ending. Good thing the ending in The Kite Runner was a lot better.

Another one from last week. I didn’t get to take any new ones yesterday, but maybe I’ll get to tonight. Yesterday, my dad wanted to install a new modem and, of course, there were problems so the internet was down all night. Spent my night trying to fix it and ended up going to bed at 2:00 AM completely exhausted.

I lost my phone on Thursday. I feel like an idiot, because this isn’t the first time it’s happened (the first time was in 6th grade). Either someone took it (straight from my pocket?) or I dropped it. I hate not having a phone. It’s strange how I never noticed how much I relied on my phone. I feel naked without it :(. On Friday, my hand kept automatically wandering over to my empty pocket. Way to ruin the rest of my week.

I have this notebook. It's one of those asian, engrish-y ones. You know, the ones that have those odd, spacey statements on them that are occasionally misspelled and almost always have grammar errors. I bet they use Google translate or something. Mine says:

Okay... not sure you'd find much in the grass, besides dirt and, well, grass, but okay. I will also try to be more "closing to nature" as well. Hey, let's all have a nature party someday! :D

Anyway, I bought this notebook in Guangzhou, China during winter break in 8th grade. We were walking around the city near our hotel, trying to find something to do. It was a gray day, temperature around SF's. The streets were gray, the buildings had a gray-ish tint to them, even the people were sort of gray. Maybe it's just me. I don't really like China :\.

As we (my dad, sister, and I) were walking, I saw this little stationary store. I love stationary stores. The pen/notebook aisles in Target draw me in all the time. So naturally, I dragged my dad and sister into the store and proceeded to get lost in the aisles of cheaply made Chinese goods. After a good twenty minutes or so, I walked out with a couple of notebooks, an eraser (that I accidentally left in Ms. Noll's college/career class in the 9th grade), and a pen or two.

Wait, what's my point in this long, boring story? Oh yes, the notebook. So I use one of the notebooks I bought to collect quotes. Quotes from books, songs, anything. Mostly books. As a result, I have this overabundance of nice quotes. So, whenever I have a certain picture that has enough negative space, I slap an unrelated quote onto it. It's kind of fun; I get to play with typography and fonts and all that. So enjoy this quote from Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie that really doesn't have anything to do with my windowsill plant.

I was in the shower, wondering what I should take pictures of tonight. No clue. As soon as I left the bathroom, I grabbed my little canon and went out into the garage. After a little mishap with a bucket full of water that I did not see at all, I only got a few pictures. Not sure if I like them, but I can't check because the battery light on the screen was blinking red. I went into my room and turned on the christmas lights for inspiration. I squeezed a couple more pictures out of my point and shoot until it finally gave out. So, I turned to my DSLR.

Yeah, I know I said I would only use my point and shoot, but hey, rules are meant to be broken. So I'm going to change that. I'm also going to change the posting every Friday thing because it feels too little.

Jeez. So much for challenging myself with this.

Oh well. Now, I get to use my pretty DSLR (even though it's a pain to use in the dark) and there will be more pictures :). So anyway, I was taking pictures and saw my star lamp. I've had that Ikea star lamp ever since I was little, but I rarely light it. When I saw it tonight, though, my rusty brain gears began turning. Candlelight + stars + DSLR = ?

I think you can figure that out for yourself.

I took about 30 pictures, but there are only a few that are post-worthy because most of them are out of focus. I like this one because it reminds me of sun rays. :)

After tonight, I really think I take too little pictures. I mean, I like photography and all, but I rarely take any because I'm either too lazy, busy, or both. I look at other people's pictures almost everyday and that's nice and all, but I forgot the feeling of actually taking pictures. It's very... I don't know, exhilarating? That sounds stupid, but it's 2 in the morning and I don't want to think. I get really focused and intense whenever I take pictures. It's different than when I hang out with my friends and snap little things on the street. I'm actually trying to get something I like. So the time flies and in the end, I'm pretty satisfied. I should really do this more often :).

Ugh. This post is probably ridden with grammar errors bad enough to make a 4th grader cringe. Keep in mind I'm writing this half asleep, so I'm pretty much just typing what comes to my mind at 2 AM. It's bad enough I'm doing a grammar unit in English class right now. I can just hear Ms. Dave. I can see all those grammar notes I took this week scrolling past my mind at lightning speed, but what do they all mean....? Adverbial clauses... misplaced modifiers... oh god.

I'm going to regret posting this when I wake up in the morning, huh? Whatever. I'm going to sleep.

This was taken right after the one I took last week. I was sitting on the kitchen counter in pitch darkness, clicking my little LED flashlight on and off to look for more photos to take, when the light flashed on the plant. I noticed all the fuzzies and immediately spent the next five or so minutes taking pictures of it. There wasn't enough light, so I turned on my flashlight. Too much light. I held it away and turned it around at all angles until I had the exact amount of light I wanted to hit the plant. Fun night :)

A photo series I'm doing of pictures taken when the night is halfway gone and I am still awake to see it, usually around 2-3 am. I should be sleeping, but unfortunately, creativity only comes when I'm bored and slightly insomniac.

I'm going to post one every Friday night (probably on Saturday and Sunday, too, if I have a lot of pictures). This helps keep it consistent (and forces me to take pictures ;P). As you've probably noticed, I'm not very consistent with taking pictures. Sometimes, my camera would sit on the shelf collecting dust for almost a month and I would stare at it guiltily. This series will be an exercise and sort of an experiment to see if I can actually make it a habit to take pictures consistently (not everyday, even though I'd like to. School gets in the way of things). My goal is to at least have something new every week.

pushing dawn is only going to consist of black and white photos. I'm also making myself take them only after midnight, so they'll all be pretty grainy. I actually like those really grainy, black and white photos. It's very moody, don't you think? :). And I think that mood fits in with how the night is like at the time when I'm taking these pictures. It's very quiet and if you just sit/stand still and listen, it's like there's not a soul left awake and the empty world is just waiting for you to do something. It can be kind of creepy, but I try not to think of it that way.

The title pushing dawn was something I just came up with, inspiration from one of my favorite comics from xkcd (my other favorite is the Spirit rover one). But a little while after I already made pushing dawn the title, I realized how close it sounded to Breaking Dawn (ugh). Oh well. Just think of the xkcd comic, please :).

So when the weekend comes (Friday/Saturday nights), I'll be walking around my silent house, armed with my little Canon point and shoot and my trusty LED flashlight (only when I need a little more light).

I always hear photographers everywhere say, "Oh, you don't need expensive cameras and gear to take great photos!" while they're flaunting their full-frame DSLR(s) with HD video capabilities and their shelves lined up with pretty lenses (what? I'm not jealous). However, I do agree with it. You just have to know how to use your camera. I started taking pictures (I can't call my stuff 'photography'. It doesn't deserve that title XP. There's a reason I changed the banner to just my initials.) with my Canon Powershot and I pretty much know it like the back of my hand (why is that an expression, anyway?). It's also a lot less complicated and less clunky than a DSLR, which is an advantage and a disadvantage. I don't have to deal with dials and the horrible low-light autofocus of my DSLR, but I also wish I could control some settings with my point and shoot. This serves as a challenge and it'll push me to think (god knows I need to do more of that).

I'm kind of glad, too, that nobody's around at 2-3 am. No one can see me sitting on the kitchen counter in complete darkness, trying to take pictures of the windowsill plant ;P (above photo).

Sorry about the lateness of these Maxine ;P. I'm a very lazy person. Looking at all the food pictures made me hungry so I could have put these up even sooner had I not gone into the kitchen in search of food.

Winter break is halfway over. It's been a very relaxed, non-productive week, which is just how I like my breaks. What did I do during Christmas? I'm not entirely sure... well, I remember it was raining.

I went to eat dinner with my family on Christmas Eve, and what are the odds, Kindchia's family is sitting right behind me! It was really weird. I think I stared at the back of her head for like ten seconds in shock before calling out her name.

The bed side of my (finally) finished room. Well, it's been finished for about a month, but I finally got around to hanging the lights last night :P. I like plushies. And posters.

On the left wall is a collage of my favorite pictures :). On the right are pictures I like ripped out of magazines. And on the center wall are posters/pictures of a few of my favorite movies and shows. Spirited Away, The Place Promised In Our Early Days, 5 Centimeters Per Second (the artwork in these last two, both by Makoto Shinkai, is really amazing. Blew me away.), Kiki's Delivery Service, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Full Metal Alchemist, Howl's Moving Castle, and Grave of the Fireflies.

Heh. Most of them are anime movies. :)

My god. I felt like exploding, and yet we were always on our way to eat even more. The day revolved around food. Ramen, crepes, milk tea, Sheng Kee bread, etc. I quit after the crepes. Couldn't handle it.

My mom, sister, and I took a walk in Golden Gate Park last Friday, since the weather was "too nice to waste at home." So they picked me up after school and we walked around near Stow Lake and up Strawberry Hill. Later, we went to eat dinner at Naan n' Curry on Irving, which was really good (and cheap!). My sister and I got tapioca from Wonderful Foods (which, by the way, is the best place to get tapioca. Serious). Yum :)

It's pretty routine now. Go to Japantown for some ramen, visit bookstore to digest a little, then buy some tapioca/ice cream/crepes. Went to Pika Pika as well this time. When I bring my camera, we mess around with it for a while, then brainstorm other places to go. For the past few months, it was usually Fisherman's Wharf. But we went to Dolores Park this time :). Such pretty views from there. And the fog stayed out of the skies above us, making for pretty light and warm heads and backs.

And so the craziness ensues.

*Dies from overload of cuteness* Kindchia's sister and her friend found a kitten. We went over to Stonestown to see her and we sat down on a bench to bond with the 2-week-old kitten. Lots of gushing and squeals of delight. I think they named her Kiki, from Kiki's Delivery Service. But Kindchia's mom wouldn't let them keep her :(, so her sister's friend took her home after that.

Pika Pika

After very (very) reluctantly being dragged into Pika Pika in Japantown, the three of us walked around finding the cheapest booth ('cause I was not spending more than $5 on 1 in. x 1 in. photos), we finally found one near the back. Find money slot, insert money, blindly decipher Japanese instructions on the screen, brace self.

First picture, done. Then a blue screen started coming down behind us and Maxine totally freaked out, making the rest of us crack up. Flash, flash, flash.

Run over to the editing booths. Kindchia is calmly decorating some of the pictures while Maxine and I are destroying the rest with strangely placed decorations while cackling like hyenas. Insert background music: Just the Way You Are, You'll Be in My Heart, and my childhood favorite, Juliet (seriously. I used to sing this in the shower everyday when I was like 7).

And it really wasn't bad at all :).

My third consecutive year going to LV. Once during winter break in 7th grade, once last year during the summer right after 8th grade, and this time :). Actually, Las Vegas was the place where I got into photography. I was in 7th grade. My family and I were walking around and I was taking shot after shot of anything and everything I saw without really thinking anything about them. Then, I took a shot of some building, looked at it, and thought, 'Wow. I shot that?' Looking back, it really isn't anything special. It's not a great, fantastic shot. However, it was the best one out of the bunch, so you can guess how bad the rest of them were. I still have it:

The rest is history :P. If it weren't for this picture, this blog wouldn't even exist. And here is a picture of me from the 7th grade.

Do not know why I am looking upwards at the air conditioner in the car, but whatever. 7th grade me will always remain a mystery to even myself.

Okay, onward to the pictures!

We stayed at the Aria. An awesome hotel, I might add.

The first thing I do whenever I first walk into a hotel room is check out the bathroom. I don't know why, but I love fancy bathrooms. And I liked this bathroom :).

I also like taking all the little lotions and conditioners :P. Especially if they're in nice bottles. Yes, I'm weird. :D

A tub/shower mini room. At first, it reminded me of the motel my aunt owns in Hong Kong, where the toilet and shower are in the same room. Without any barriers or walls separating the two. And the cold, dirty cement ground didn't make it any better. -shudder- But this was 1000x better, obviously.

The toilet's. In. A separate. Room-thing! I don't know why, but this added a lot of fancy-points to the fancy-ness of the bathroom. God, I'm so weird.

This little device is pretty much what makes the Aria awesome. It's like a remote for the entire room. It serves as an alarm clock, TV remote, radio, and shows the weather, controls the air conditioner and heater in the room, the lights, and the curtains. The CURTAINS! I spent a good amount of time making the curtains go back and forth, haha :). In the corner, it also shows your name! Well, my mom's name, but still. Awesome.

Speaking of which, she also played with the controller. Somehow, she managed to turn off all the lights and electronics. While my sister was taking a shower. After everything went pitch dark, my sister screamed, "KAAAREEEEEEEN!" from the bathroom. (She always thinks it's me! Well... can't really blame her :3.) I was too busy laughing to respond. So was my mom. Then, she screamed, "GET. IN HERE," in a voice that would've sent chills down my spine in an entirely different situation. My mom managed to recover enough to go into the bathroom to turn on the lights. I'm still laughing as I type this. Oh, good times :).

I'm getting kind of sick of landscapes. But I'll put up the rest of my pictures. However, the park was really pretty, as were all of them :). Huge, red canyons. Did I mention they were tall? Why must I have such an extreme fear of heights?

I like the lighting in this one. It looks almost like an off-camera flash. It was really hot that day, and the sun was high in the sky. Shooting in RAW really helped save a lot of these pictures :P. Why didn't I switch sooner?

Ergh. Picasa's really bugging me. Makes all the colors look faded. I think I'm gonna switch soon.

Anyway, today my family took my cousin (who's visiting from China) around a few places in the bay area. We went to Santa Cruz, the Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey (really empty and depressing compared to SF's :/), and Half Moon Bay to eat at Crab Landing. Tomorrow, we're going cherry picking :). Yum.

I tried shooting in RAW. I love it. Never thought it'd make that much of a difference, but it does :D.

No matter how many times I tried, leaves kept coming out overexposed :/.

I like square crops. They help make an okay picture better. :).

I haven't done BW in a while.

These were taken almost a week ago. Only got to uploading them now because I am lazy lazy lazy. Summer does that to me ;P (and probably every other teenager in the world). Spent a few hours rowing/pedaling boats and then went to eat Korean food. Then, we guitar-heroed (yes, I made it a verb) at my friend's house and made Twilight characters on the Sims. At night, only the usual three were left (me, Maxine, Kindchia) and we went to Mitchell's for some yummy ice cream :). Mmm. Chocolate caramel crackle with a waffle cone...

I don't know why but this makes me laugh.

Mack's Graduation and Another Day at the Wharf

Yesterday, I went to my friend Maxine's brother's graduation as the sort-of photographer. Not much of the actual ceremony because I'm terrible with indoor stuff and there wasn't enough light and flash made everything look worse and everything kept coming out blurry and everyone seemed to be moving too fast. My camera can only go up to ISO 1600. Higher would probably make it extremely grainy, but at least the pictures would be clear :(

There he is. On the right. Partially covered because one person in particular decided to stand up at the completely wrong moment. Couldn't get another one because they started walking away after that point and appeared as purple blurs on my camera.

When the clock struck 12, I couldn't see any fireworks from where I live. Well, I saw some a house in the distance fired off, but they were kinda small and didn't reach past the rooftop. And there was some big ones set off, but a huge tree was blocking my view so all I saw were a few sparks between the branches and leaves. But anyway, happy new years :).

Tomorrow's the first day of winter, if my school planner's calendar is correct. San Francisco winters are strange. There are really sunny days and really foggy days. Sometimes there's rain. If it's cold enough, there's a little hail. But no snow. So winters here are kind of a mix of winter and fall. I don't know where I'm going with this. Do I even have a point or am I just rambling aimlessly? I don't know. Here's a picture of a penguin.

I took it last year. In October. I still have no new pictures. Maybe some in a few days. Right now, I'm looking through all my old pictures from the 7th grade.

Went to Fisherman's Wharf yesterday. Didn't go to the beach, but still had fun window shopping at Pier 39 and watching the sunset and sea lions :]

There was a stand with tubs of bath salts in really pretty colors. We ran around smelling all of them. :]

I wonder how you use bath salts... I haven't taken a bath since 2nd or 3rd grade (haha, what I mean is I usually take showers ;P). And I don't think I've ever had a bubble bath in my entire life. D:

Was playing with the polaroid generator at www.rollip.com yesterday. But they can never replace the real thing. I want a polaroid. Or a holga. But, film's too expensive nowadays. If I could, I would get both a pola and a holga and take them with me everywhere :]. Sometimes, I wish digital never became such a big thing. I want to learn how to develop film at home, but it's confusing and I have no room for it anyway. Sigh. But one day, I WILL shoot a roll of film with my dad's Nikon FM2!

was not as bad as I had feared. But by last period, I just felt like crashing. I am so tired. The day was filled with "have this signed by Friday's" and "introduce yourself to the class's" and "these are the rules at this school's" and "you'll get your lockers soon, I promise's." Typical first day stuff. Got sorta lost a couple times, haha :P. But 6th grade taught me that the first number of the room is actually the floor it's located on! So I had some common sense.

*Rolls eyes* I cannot believe I was that stupid three years ago.

But I am so tired. Felt like falling asleep in English while going over the syllabus. But overall, it's not bad at all. 'Cept for orchestra, which I specifically did NOT sign up for! *Fumes*. And I already don't like P.E. But that goes without saying. I am dreading running laps. No walking at all! Not that I don't run at all, but jeez, it's not like I have lungs of steel or anything! Dear God, how am I supposed to survive?!

Ah well. Too tired to care right now. *Falls asleep on desk*

Apparently I missed one :P. And walking on the glacier was pretty cool. At least the temperature was very similar to SF's... only a little bit windier.

Disneyland

Decided to pull some of my Disneyland pictures out of my phone :P. Loved the fireworks :]. Food there is not bad at all. But pretty expensive (obviously). Haha, my friend and I pretty much swallowed an entire basket of "pomme frites" in about five minutes at the New Orleans Cafe. OHMYGODSOGOOD! Was too busy stuffing my face to take a picture XP.

Vegas~ Not exactly clear, but I like it anyway.

Summer

is gone. Tomorrow's the last day. And after tomorrow, school will start. And I'm going to high school. The 9th grade... sigh. I cannot believe I'm saying this, but I miss middle school. But at the same time, I want to go to high school. I guess the only problem I have is that pretty much 50% of the freshman class is made up of the students that went to my middle school.

SIGH.

I guess it should be sorta comforting, but it's only managing to make me feel a little nauseous. But, I'm just super glad a lot of my friends from middle school will be there :]. I guess it won't be too bad if they're there. But anyway...

Time for Hell part II.

Haha, after being showered with compliments from my friend and her cousin, this post is for them :P. Making me feel guilty about not posting the rest of my Canada pictures XD. To be honest, I don't think my photos are really super amazing, so I was totally surprised when they were both "OH MY GOD!" and "YOU'RE SO GOOD!" Haha. Thanks for making me feel warm and fuzzy inside :] Oh, and there's still more.. heh.
